Within a month, despite sore muscles and several painful sessions with Jason, I look at the videos that Jason has taken and I can see just how far I have come. The first thing I realized when working out Jason is that he is one of those few people who genuinely care. He wants you to learn, to do well and pick up the art of Muay Thai. He gives every session his best and sweats as much as I do during every session.
As he knows the art of Muay Thai so well, he keeps adjusting his teaching to suit the learning style of his students. He is always thinking during the session. I also like the fact that no session is repetitive. We work on technique followed by practice and then fitness.
A note of caution: Jason will push you very hard during EVERY session and no amount of moaning or groaning can change that so if you are someone looking to come to the gym and have fun just jumping around and not wanting to learn anything, Jason is not your guy.

Training with Jason has been amazing. I have trained with many instructors in group class and/or private training. As with many sports, coaching is a major component to your success. Jason is a very intuitive and skilled coach. Having the ability to teach and correct technique. He is very precise with great attention to all aspects of the art. His knowledge of the mechanics has been critical in my training. Jason has an advantage over many instructors. However when you are getting fitter it doesn't get easier as Jay will push you harder to the next level so even though you are progressing it's always tough, you have to work at 100%. I wanted to train twice a day for one week to be fitter as I was fighting 5x3s. So I went to Southend, we got started in the mornings, Jay went running with me, then at the gym. I noticed that it was like training in Thailand and Jay spent a lot of time there and i could see why he was WMC world champ, from warming up to boxing pads, to Thai pads, to clinching and finally some full rules sparring. Jay will always correct you until things are right. Everytime I was at the gym Jay changed things up, so we were always doing something different after training. With him I could understand " go hard or go home", when I had my fight I was able to push the fight harder with one week training. I would recommend Jay to anyone who wants to get really fit and have a good trainer.
